Year End Schedule – June 2025
It’s hard to believe that the end of the school year is only a month away! Below is our Year End Schedule for the weeks of June 9-27 as well as other important information and reminders.
Grade 10 Literacy and Numeracy Graduation Assessments
All Grade 10 students are required to write the Numeracy 10 and Literacy 10 Graduation Assessment. Students currently enrolled in an English 10 or Math 10 class will be writing their Literacy 10 and Numeracy 10 Graduation Assessments during their regularly scheduled English or Math block from June 10-13. To accommodate the time needed for these assessments, double blocks have been scheduled. All other classes will be running as normal during this time.
Year End Carnival
Jackson will be hosting a free Year End Carnival on the field for all students from 12:45-3:30 on Friday June 13. Students can check out the Dunk Tank, Inflatable Axe Throwing, Sumo Suite Wrestling, or the many other games and activities planned for the afternoon.
Final Class Assessments
Final class assessment activities will take place during regularly scheduled classes from June 16-20. As a result, students are expected to be in attendance for all classes until Friday June 20.
Indigenous Peoples Day & Year End Awards Ceremony
On Friday June 20 we will be holding our Year End Awards Ceremony at 11:20am. As renovations on our gym begin on June 9, this year’s ceremony will be held on the field. Following this ceremony, all students will be offered a free chili and bannock lunch in the cafeteria before beginning our Indigenous Peoples Day activities on the field in the afternoon.
Course Completion Days
Monday June 23 to Wednesday June 25 are Course Completion days. These days provide opportunities for students who may be in a failing position to finish incomplete work. Only students with missing or incomplete work are required to attend.
Last Day of School
Printed report cards will be available for pick-up on the last day of school (Thursday June 26). There will not be any classes this day. This is an opportunity for students to say goodbye to friends and teachers. Busses will be running 4 hours early, starting at 11:33am.
Please feel free to contact the office at (250) 832-2136 if you have any questions or concerns regarding this schedule.
