SEMESTER END AWARDS

Each semester students are recognized with the following awards.

ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT AWARD

Grade 9 = All Proficient or Extending
Grade 10 = All A’s and B’s

PRINCIPAL’s LIST AWARD

Grade 10 = All A’s

STELLAR JAY AWARD

Students who consistently demonstrate Perseverance, Respect, and Empathy

TOP OF SUBJECT AWARDS

The top student(s) in each course are also recognized each semester with a top of subject award.


YEAR END AWARDS

At the end of each year students are recognized with the following major awards.


Athlete of the Year

  • participated in multiple school sports
  • strong athletic ability
  • leadership (during their sport, and outside of sport)
  • coachability
  • focused on academic success (not necessarily an A student, but works hard on academics)
  • achieved some level of success in their sport (not a requirement, but special consideration if they contributed to their team, or as an individual, participating beyond zones)

Citizenship Award

  • straight “G” student
  • minimum of a “B” grade average
  • demonstrates leadership and responsibility
  • volunteers time, goes above and beyond

  • engages in the promotion of positive school culture (through leadership and general participation)
