J.L. Jackson is extremely fortunate to have an outstanding Lunch Program brought to you by the Local Shuswap Food Action Society and Shuswap Community Foundation.
Below are some of our themes this year:
- We use a variety of foods, locally sourced where possible.
- Thursdays are wheat-free (always on rice) and most entrees can be made vegetarian, except meat soups and special theme days.
- This year, we also are offering a “glutino” gluten-free bun option for our bacon and eggers for an extra dollar.
To start off the year we are planning to offer a free day where students can “try” the food on Friday September 12. The full program begins on Tuesday September 16 and runs Tuesday through Friday each week.
Prices
Prices range from $3.50 – $7.50 depending on the meal and size.

We will be using a new online plaform this year for families that would like to pre-order their meals. Families will be able to place online orders beginning Sunday September 7 using the link below.

Cancellation Policy
Going forward we will be implementing a cancellation policy. As a non-profit organization we rely on our ability to plan ahead to ensure we have the right amount of ingredients – to feed all kids who have ordered, sell all lunches made each day and reduce waste. While we know that things happen (kids get sick, surprise appointments happen, lunch time practices/commitments pop up, etc.), in order for us to credit or refund your missed lunch, we will need to know before the meal is served that the child/student will miss that meal.
For a same day cancellation, please contact us no later than 9am the day their hot lunch will be missed by emailing orders@shuswapfood.ca **Please provide the students name and school name (as we deliver programs in multiple schools). Cancellations for future dates can be made online through the www.munchalunch.com/schools/jlj website.
If you have further questions or concerns re. order cancellation please email orders@shuswapfood.ca
Other Important Information
