Salmon Arm Secondary (SAS) – Jackson is located in Salmon Arm, British Columbia. Our community has a rich tradition of supporting and encouraging outdoor pursuits, music and fine arts, and a wide variety of sporting opportunities. Our diversified economy includes technology, service, health care, forestry, agriculture, tourism, manufacturing and commerce.
SAS-Jackson has approximately 600 students in grades 9 and 10, servicing the communities of Salmon Arm, Anglemont, Scotch Creek, Celista, Sorrento, Blind Bay, White Lake, Tappen, Sunnybrae, Gleneden, Silver Creek, North Canoe, South Canoe, Ranchero, and Deep Creek. We are located on the traditional territory of the Secwepemc Nation, with students from Adams Lake Indian Band, Little Shuswap Indian Band, and Neskonlith Indian Band.
Academically, SAS-Jackson offers students a variety of program choices and opportunities. Core Academics includes Math, English, Social Studies, Science and Physical & Health Education. We have a French Immersion program, an Education Collaboration Outdoors (ECO) program, as well as a provincially-recognized Careers program. Elective opportunities include: Home Economics, Computer Studies, Robotics, Photography, Design & Tech, Woodwork, Metalwork, Art, Concert Band, Jazz Band Choir, Drama, French, Spanish, Japanese, Leadership and Yearbook.
